It is a romantic melodrama
Directed by Filipp Loss

It is a story of a young landowner called Natalja Petrovna (Ksenja Agarkova), who suddenly begins to crave for something new, special, for something that one can desire for only the summer time, the time of romantic feelings. However, she is provided with a marriage of a socially well-accepted and noble husband (Aleksandr Ivaškevitš) and she has got a close friend (Dmitri Kosjakov), standing in his tenderness by her side for longer than years.

A young student called Aleksei Beljajev (Karl-Robert Saaremäe), actually not at all interested in sudden romantic circumstances and therefore for sure forced to revise his understanding of the morality, the life in general and his personal attitude towards women, finds himself in the middle of the intrigue…A young lady called Veera is performed for us by novice actress Jekaterina Burdjugova.

The melodramatic play, written by Russian literature classics Ivan Turgenev, works as a perfect narrative for an open-air summer production in an old manorpark. The play offers a unique opportunity to enjoy a classic work in the romantic park of Sagadi, which will take you back to the times of lovely noble places and helps you feel the atmosphere in which the heroes used to live. For all spectators, the doors will be open to enter the noble manor-house hiding well preserved and fine restored interiors and furniture. A rich menu of cafes located in the alley of the park offers both dishes and drinks from the Turgenev era, as well as food more familiar to our times.

The performances are provided with simultaneous translation into English and Estonian.
